Everest Park Restrooms
rethinking facilities to better fit the space

Schemata Workshop is working with the City of Kirkland to design a new restroom shelter to replace the existing facility. The old facility lacked accessibility or the ability to accommodate the increased need during the summer months. The eye-catching new facility will be more clearly visible to all parkgoers. The design emulates shapes found in the ball field which this new facility will serve as a background to.

The facility will include a men’s room, a women’s room, and two single-stalled all-gender rooms. There will be seating and an overhang to both frame the structure and help protect community members from the rain in the winter and the sun in the summer.
