Mason Street
fostering an affordable, richly diverse community
To address the acute housing shortage in the region, Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County acquired a 17-acre property that once was a local airstrip to create a variety of permanent affordable housing in Port Hadlock, Washington. This will provide homeownership opportunities to community members of all incomes, particularly the local workforce. The physical design offers a welcoming, walkable neighborhood that emphasizes social interactions while enhancing connectivity to the surrounding neighborhood. Nestled among the trees, the community will be filled with trails and a community park.
